What is Educational Therapy?
Educational therapy provides specialized instruction to help struggling learners develop cognitive processing and foundational academic skills while developing self-confidence and resilience.
What is the goal of Educational Therapy?
Through their work in educational therapy, most struggling learners will become independent learners, able to manage classroom demands with little or no accommodation.
Who can benefit from Educational Therapy?
Learners of all ages and with a variety of learning differences, including dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, ADHD, executive function deficits, and/or autism can benefit from educational therapy.

How can I help?
NILD Educational Therapy®
Educational therapy is a comprehensive, individualized intervention designed to address cognitive, perceptual, academic, and social/emotional challenges. It also seeks to leverage a student’s strengths to build resilience which positively impacts learning.
Lexercise Dyslexia Therapy
Lexercise Dyslexia Therapy is a Structured Literacy curriculum delivered in an online format specifically designed to address the needs of students with dyslexia who struggle to read and spell individual words.
Collaboration
Educational therapists seek to facilitate communication with parents and various professionals involved in a student’s care. Parent guidance sessions, communicating with private professionals, and assisting parents with their participation on school teams are offered to educational therapy clients.
Assessment
Educational therapists use various educational assessment tools to gather information about a student’s current needs. This information is used to create a plan for intervention and to monitor the effectiveness of that intervention on a regular basis.

Book a Consultation

How do you get started once you’ve read the website? 3C Learning, LLC, offers one-time 30-45 minute consultations at no cost. These consultations can be held via telephone or videoconference. During this consultation, Marie will learn about the student’s challenges. You have a chance to ask questions about Marie’s services to determine if one of the offerings may be a good fit.

Schedule an Assessment

If you decide that working with Marie, either in person or online, may be a good fit for your situation, scheduling an assessment is the next step. For those who live in Southeast Michigan or who can travel to the office in Dexter, MI, assessments will be conducted at the office. For those who live too far away to travel to Dexter, Marie will discuss options for getting the necessary assessments done in your location.

Develop a Plan

Once information has been gathered, a determination will be made as to whether services are needed and, if so, which one will fit best. If indicated, a plan for individualized intervention will be proposed. At that time, if the parents or other decision makers decide to move forward, an agreement which outlines the terms of services will be signed by both parties and a schedule for sessions will be set.
